Mrs Martha Notaras
Martha Notaras is a Partner at venture capital fund, XL Innovate, investing in insurtech, including startups focused on data & analytics and new business models. XL Innovate’s investments include Lemonade, Embroker, New Energy Risk, Notion, Cape Analytics, Slice Labs, Pillar Technologies and Stonestep. Martha serves on the boards of: Notion, an IoT home awareness solution provider reducing risk for insurers and homeowners; GeoQuant, creator of a revolutionary platform for measuring political risk in real time, using machine learning; Pillar Technologies, an end-to-end environmental monitoring solution to reduce risk at construction sites; and Cape Analytics, which leverages geospatial imagery, computer vision, and machine learning to deliver more accurate property data.
Previously, Martha ran corporate development for DMG Information, the business data and analytics division of the Daily Mail and General Trust plc. Of the 20 investments she made at DMG Information, two achieved and maintained valuations over $1 billion. She has served as board director for many early and growth stage companies, including 10 years on the board of Risk Management Solutions, which provides catastrophe models to the insurance industry. Her prior experience includes investment banking at Merrill Lynch and commercial banking at Credit Suisse. She received her A.B. cum laude from Princeton University and her MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar, awarded for graduating in the top five percent of the class.
Mr Joe Beneducci
Joe Beneducci is the founder of ProSight Specialty Insurance, a unique specialty insurance company that delivers innovative, tailored solutions for customers unlike the traditional insurance industry. Based upon ProSight’s success, Joe has been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young and recognized by KPMG and the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan as one of the top entrepreneurs in America. ProSight has received numerous awards including the fastest growing company in New Jersey, the fastest growing insurance company in the United States, Company of the Year by Business Intelligence Group (BIG) and Innovative Company of the Year by the Golden Bridge Awards. Joe’s experience in the insurance industry spans more than 25 years across a wide array of leadership responsibilities. Prior to founding ProSight in 2009, Joe was the CEO of another large Property & Casualty insurance company. He currently serves as ProSight's Chairman, President and CEO. Joe received the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award from Drew University where he also is a Board Fellow on the Board of Trustees. Joe has attended executive education programs at IMD International in Shanghai, China and the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA).
Mr Rob Galbraith
Rob Galbraith has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in a variety of positions in the fields of P&C insurance, banking and investment markets. He holds a Master's of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Michigan State University. Rob earned his CPCU designation in 2003 was elected to serve on the CPCU Society's Leadership Council from 2016-2018. He has also earned the CLU and ChFC designations from The American College of Financial Services.
Rob is a recognized thought leader on P&C insurance who is the author of The End Of Insurance As We Know It published by Insurance Nerds. Rob has hands-on experience leading several innovative projects leveraging insurtech to enable new capabilities for sales, marketing, pricing, underwriting, claims and product management functions at a top 10 carrier. Named by Nick Lamparelli as “The Most Interesting Man In Insurance” for his travels and commentary, Rob is a frequent media contributor and speaker at industry conferences as well as corporate events.

The goal of the Insurance Technology Association is to provide members with opportunities to collaborate, educate, network, share, and use knowledge related to insurance technology. The ITA serves the insurance technology community as a resource and is dedicated to serving this specialized sector of the industry.
